Dr. Allison Hinsberger

Dr. Allison Hinsberger was born and raised right here in Boulder.   She grew up taking advantage of all that the mountains have to offer, camping all across the American West in a VW camper van with her family.  After receiving a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Dr. Hinsberger relocated to San Francisco.  Though she enjoyed her time working at a non-profit focusing on workforce development, Dr. Hinsberger wanted a career that provided both more direct daily interaction with people and involvement in health CARE and science.  Dentistry checked all those boxes, so she left her job to go back to school.

Dr. Hinsberger received her D.D.S degree from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas.  During school, she enjoyed the hands-on nature of dentistry, which included making dentures and casting gold crowns.  She also took great pleasure working at community health centers as a dental care provider to underserved communities.

More recently, Dr. Hinsberger completed a General Practice Residency at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora. She loved having veterans as her patients in a clinical practice where she worked directly with dental and medical specialists.  The residency program reinforced Dr. Hinsberger’s philosophy to provide treatment that is centered on the patient.  She finds that working together with patients is the best way to achieve their treatment goals while maintaining oral health.

Dr. Hinsberger is excited to be back in Boulder. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and baking bread.
